Tasted again at the distillery and I have to admit that it tasted better than the sample I had before. Need to bump up my rating: 89 as it‘s very nice and drinkable, more fruity, complex and less leathery.

Bit of leather, dark fruits, honey, spices, quite oaky, a bit basic

Really tasty - but totally overpriced.

The nose offers intensely fruity, yet typically salty and dirty Bunna notes; the apple is there, but interwoven with the rest. Interestingly, the Calvados makes it quite harsh in the mouth, intense, almost sharp. I honestly would have liked to try these casks without the finish.

This Bunna has been finished on a calvados barrel since late 2019. The calvados certainly made its mark after almost two years of maturation. A pretty well executed finish, but not worth it's high price tag for me.

Wow, this exceeded my expectations. The peat notes are a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. Every time I came back to this glass after tasting one of the other unpeated drams, the peat seemed to get stronger and stronger. Maybe this distillation run came right after a peated run? It’s not too appley, and has this phenomenal creaminess and subtle oiliness.

BN 26 #12 - The Calvados cask shines on the nose, showing spirity baked apples with a nice round feeling, but the distillate profile is also very prominent with leather, some peat (even though it is not advertised as such, it is clearly a lightly peated Bunna to me), some manure and a very slight touch of sulfure, which does not bother me. Very, very nice nose. I was a little less convinced by the palate which I found quite massive and uncompromising with notes of manure, earthy peat, leather, quite a lot of alcohol, decaying vegetals but also nice notes of herbal ointments. The Calvados comes back in the finish with baked apples. It sure does not lack personnality or complexity, but this palate takes no prisoners !

Sampled as part of an excellent online tasting by The Good Spirits Co, Glasgow. Agree with others that this doesn't come close to being worth the money.

Aroma - young Calvados, apples (mashed, sliced). In the distance there is salt, licorice, fruit. The taste is strong, exciting, enveloping, the flavor is all here. Whisky has its own personal profile, of course, but it is heavy and not for everyone. Considering his age, he seems very harsh/uncouth and young. Similar to a typical, basic ayla (ardbeg 10, without peat, also buna 12, laf 10) Sharpness of alcohol, iodine, smoke, a little sea, sweetish aftertaste.
